One of my favorite traditions we have done every year with our kids are Resurrection rolls.
I’ve done the one thousand egg hunt…wait…ten thousand egg hunt with hundreds of kids as a youth pastor (came out with bruises from the stampedes!), but this is still the best part of Easter. The marshmallow (Jesus) melts with the butter and Cinnamon (spices when they buried Jesus) with the crescent roles (tomb). Grab them out of the oven…Jesus disappeared and the tomb is empty! We have the kids make them while I read the Easter story and Annie helps with the tomb. Ours kids love it every year, we have breakfast together, and get to discuss Easter. Best tasting tradition and illustration at our house!
Easter eggs are fun, church services are amazing, but it’s what you do at home with your own kids that is vital. What is your family tradition?
