Day 100

Today marks day 100 for my family for being quarantined. I’ve had a lot of thoughts both positive and negative on the status of our country and world. I know right now, I’m tired. I’m tired of driving by stores, friends houses, churches, and other places that I see people gather but we are not. Life is already hard enough with #cysticfibrosis and I do not want to add Covid to it if possible. As we “celebrated” our 100th day of quarantining, God reminded me of Proverbs 18:21: Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it.

Our thoughts become our words. Think about it…literally. If you are thinking negative, you begin to talk negative. Then you become negative and it spreads. If you are thinking positive, then you become more positive. Then you become positive and it spreads. That verse becomes pretty real during this crisis!

So how much longer will the Covid numbers increase in Texas? Will we end our quarantine in 20 days or another 100? Only God knows for sure, but I’m striving on keeping my focus on God and His promises. I will continue to be positive and keep my trust in God as much as I can.
