Poverty, trauma, and crisis are dream killers. Hacer210 exists to point people towards their dreams and to connect them with the support they need to accomplish those dreams.

It is official. We have a logo and it’s exactly what we wanted! Our dream is equipping people to pursue their dreams, and our own dream is happening! If you would have told me that in less than a week we would have: the nonprofit status confirmed, business bank account set, donation already given, community event being set with dates to be announced, and a logo that matches our dream….I would have said impossible. But remember, nothing is impossible!

The logo. It truly encompasses what we want to see happen. Hacer210 is written across the state. This is by design because what we do locally in San Antonio has the potential to go beyond the 210 area code. 210 is the catalyst, but the effect will be spread throughout the state, and beyond.

Example. We will work with high school seniors and partner to bring mentorships to them. These mentorships will give an opportunity for them to see the business world that they dreamed about. They will learn what board meetings are, learn a company’s culture, and how to handle pressure during a presentation. They also will get help getting into a university. They grew up in poverty, but their dream to learn business and to go to school finally gets realized. They leave San Antonio and go to a different part of the state for school. They take the knowledge obtained from that mentorship and apply it at the university through their studies and networking. Their friends take notice and become inspired, and begin to apply principles taught from our student. Then they graduate, along with their classmates and enter the workforce…two states over. They become equippers for the next generation, mentoring and providing the same opportunities that were provided previously for them! The process starts again, but now it is multiples! It all started when Hacer210 and you believed in them and equipped them first! That is how legacies are changed!

I am getting goose bumps writing this. You are a part of it! We cannot do this alone. I want you to think about a need in your community. We need to know the need so we can serve to meet it.
