What is your sacrifice to God today? Is it just “an offering” or is it more?

“Time passed. Cain brought an offering to GOD from the produce of his farm. Abel also brought an offering, but from the firstborn animals of his herd, choice cuts of meat. GOD liked Abel and his offering, but Cain and his offering didn’t get his approval. Cain lost his temper and went into a sulk.”

Look at the comparison above. Cain brought produce from his farm. That’s it. We do not know if it was produce from the center of the field or if it was the produce from the edge of the field with stunted growth and surrounded by weeds. The good news is, he brought something…right?

Look at the difference with Abels offering: firstborn and choice meats. Now that is a sacrifice that actually cost Able!

Take inventory. What are you presenting to God today? Is it just enough to get by and have the appearance or is it something so much more?
