My Hero: The Rock
Her name is Jessie, but I’ve been calling her “The Rock” for years. She was in our youth group throughout middle and high school and that was years ago. I named her “The Rock” at her first youth camp, because when the other sixth graders were shy and nervous…she didn’t care. Her faith and her belief in who she was, was solid…like a rock. She was going to be herself and be a leader. Through the years she became one of the strongest and most outspoken leaders I’ve ever had the opportunity to minister to and alongside with. She has a powerful legacy that continues to grow daily!
Fast forward a bunch of years, and she is continuing to be The Rock, and doing it on the front lines today. While I am quarantined with our #cysticfibrosis kids and working remotely from home…she is on the front lines as a Pediatric RN. It’s people like her that are keeping kids like mine safe. I am beyond humbled and grateful for heroes like The Rock!
Seriously, it’s people like her that are keeping our country moving. Thank you Rock..aka…Jesse…aka my hero. I’ve always admired your leadership and now I’m incredibly grateful for it! Please reach out to the people that are on the frontlines making a difference today. Reach out to the Rocks in your community, and thank them for everything they do! Praying for wisdom, safety, and peace through this crazy storm. God is in control!
