Please Make A Difference
I was reading the Bible App today and it showcased a great verse from Matthew 5:7: Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
I think this is extremely relevant for today. Is your pantry stocked with food today? Are you at home today and not in the hospital room? Is there at least one roll of toilet paper in your bathroom? Did you work today? Did you tuck your kids in bed tonight? Did you talk to a loved one today?
So if you answered yes to at least one of those questions, you have been given mercy. You don’t deserve it! Thousands haven’t been that blessed today.
Now is the time to share the mercy you received and be a huge blessing! Reach out and help someone. Be smart, but help. Drop a roll of toilet paper (still packaged!) at a front door. Call someone to say hey. Text someone and let them know they aren’t alone. Order a pizza for a family and have it delivered to their door. Pray with someone that is dealing with anxiety. Show mercy.
God doesn’t cause bad things to happen to us, but He walks alongside us through them. Wouldn’t it be great for people to see God through you during a pandemic crisis like we have happening now. Someone out there needs mercy too. Someone’s legacy could change because of you.
